I created documents in Word, saved them in read-only mode. It worked fine
for at least a year. Now when I try to open a document in read-only mode,
Word says it cannot do it and to make sure it is a .doc file. When the
window asks to open the file in read only mode, if I choose No, the file
opens with no problems. Word has been re-installed with no luck.
