why do I get debugging messages

I have a new Dell XPS 400 that did not come with office but I bought Office
Standard from Dell and recently installed it. I now get constant script error
messages and requests to debug. Why does this occur and how do I fix the
problem?

Please quote the exact error message(s) you get, and say which
Office 2003 Standard application you get it(them) in.

HI..the message usually comes when I open a Word doc from an email and it
says "A runtime error has occurred. Do you wish to debug. line 131
unspecified error. then a new msg "Misc files-Microsoft Script Error
