Why does my layout change when I open it on another computer

I have created a couple of documents using the same layout. So far so good.
The problem is that my wife, using another computer, needs to work on these
documents but she can't! The layout changes, more specifically the margins.
It wrecks havoc on the content... It also seems the the font sizes or kerning
or... something that makes the fonts a tiny bit larger...

Why does my layout change when I open the document on another computer? We
both run Publisher 2003 on Windows XP SP2...

Hi Mary

Thanks for your answer. The problem is that I already have the same printer
driver on both computers. They are configured the same and both are set as
default printer. Both computers are connected to the printer the same way
through ethernet.

The difference is that my wife travels around a bit and has more printer
drivers than I or at least differerent ones. Can this be the problem?

Your wife doesn't have to be connected to the physical printer, all she needs is
the driver. It should be selected as the default when she works on your common
document.

In addition to Mary's comments, you and the wife each need to have the same
"used" fonts installed on the two computers. If she or you are using a font
that isn't installed on the other computer that could also change the
appearance of the document (especially making the fonts look different or
bigger.)
