Why does Publisher ignore number of copies and print only one?

When I try to print multiple copies to my HP Color Laser 5550dn, I only get
one copy regardless of how many copies I enter into the print dialog box.

According to a diagnostic check on the Hewlett Packard Website, I have the
latest driver.
