Why doesn't BCWS = cost

Hi,

Anyone know why on many of my schedules BCWS doesn't equal
cost? Are these two items the same thing? Does Project
calculate them the same way? What would cause the
difference?

Well, there's Cost (all actual costs + all planned costs), and Baseline Cost
(whatever it was when you baselined it - probably planned cost), and then
there's BCWS (Budgetted Cost Of Work Scheduled as at whatever the Status
Date is).
BCWS depends on Status Date. The other two don't.
Have you done any actuals?
