Why is a file not available?

Everytime I try to open an attachment from my yahoo email account it says
that the file is not available. then i have tried to open an Excel document
and it said there was a virus. I am currently running Offcie 2003 student
edition. I thought that this was a great program, but am starting to
question it now that I can not seem to open attachments from an email account.

Disable the Office Plugin that comes with Symantec/Norton AntiVirus. See
