Why is Project 2003 Standard Crashing

I am running 2003 standard. XP SP2, Office 2007 ... all applications are up
to date with fixes, and updates. When I click on a resource to change the
name... Project crashes.

No other person has this problem, yet no one here is running office 2007

To help narrow it down -- does this happen on all Project files or just
one?
Have you tried detect and repair from the Help menu in Project?

Here is the rub...

Just my computer...

All Project files I run... If someone else runs same MPP on their computer
no problems.

I tried exporting to an HTML, and importing back. seems to occur anyway

If others can open the same file without issue, I have to assume there
is something awry with your installation of Project.

Did you try detect and repair from the Help menu?

I unistalled all Microsoft Apps...

Only installed Project. still would not work

Keeps crashing. We are thinking of reimaging desktop, but would like to to
know why this occureed

Hello Frank,

I'm afraid it is impossible for me to troubleshoot an installation from
afar

The fact that the same project files that crash on one machine seem to
function fine on others lads me to believe that it is not a project file
problem.

I have not heard of any specific difficulties reports with people using
Project 2003 with Office 2007 but if Project functioned before without
Office 2007 and Office 2003 is still available, I guess I would
recommend staying with Office 2003. I do run Project 2007 here, but
alongside Office 2007 and run Project 2003 alongside Office 2003.

I had this problem until I uninstalled the HP Credential Manager using
add/remove programs. Are you on an HP computer?

I had two HP laptops that had this issue with Project and as soon as I
removed the HP Credential Manager Project worked!
