Why won't page numbers print on hard copy in publisher?

I have a publication ready to go to print in Microsoft Publisher but when I
print pages from it the page numbers are not there.

Be certain you don't have "ignore Master Page (background)" checked in the view menu.

In addition to Mary's advice, make sure that the page numbers have not
fallen into your non-printing region of your page, which is controlled (and
a limitation) of your printer and the printer driver. Many printers cannot
print to the edges of the page.
