Will Office Pro 2000 work on the Vista OS ?

Just got a new laptop with Vista Home Ed and want
to install
my Ofc 2000. Can't afford to get a new edition so
here's hoping.

Apparently it will, though you will have problems with Outlook. Google
Office2000 and Vista for more details.

Perhaps I
could do a custom install and leave Outlook out.

It should as you can select the components you require with a custom install
