Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

One of our computers has the Japanese version of Mac OS Leopard installed. We would like to install the US version of Office, rather than the Japanese one. Does anyone know if this will cause any issues?

The language you display the OS on has no impact on the installer.
What really really matters is what version of Office you are running.
If you have Office in English, use the English updater no matter what
language you use on the OS.

To clarify my point:
The OS is the exact same no matter what language you use.
The localized applications actually have wuthin themselves theresources
to be displayed in other languages.
A Japanese OS is actually the English OS where you set the preferences
to display the Jpanaese resources (when available) instead of the
English ones. Not really different in essence.
