Windows 2003 server & Office XP Pro error 1407

can anyone help me with this error!

I'm trying to uninstall Office XP off of my 2003 Server, I'm getting most of
the way through the Uninstall process when the following error is displayed

Error 1407. Setup cannot get the value names for the registry key
Installer\Features\9040820900063D11C8EF00054038389C
Verify that you have the sufficient permissions to access the regestry or
contact Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) for Assistance.

I am running as Administrator

I need to uninstall Office due to a problem with the POP3 Pickup.

can anyone help me with this??
