Windows 98 Firewal

Hi

Does Windows 98 have a built-in firewall like Windows XP which you find by
going to, Network Places, right-clicking dial-up connection, choosing
Properties, Advanced tab?
Am using Windows 98, and after reinstalling Norton Internet Security 2002,
cannot send/receive emails or use the Internet. My ISP suggest it is because
of a firewall being enabled, however, I'm not too sure where to look for it.
For obvious reasons do not want to turn off the firewall if part of Norton.

Nope, 98 didn't have a built-in firewall.

AFAIK firewall software will work with 98, e.g. Zonealarm. Check out
more details at their website. There are other products available.

Alternatively, build a proper network with a firewall/router for the
single connection to the network, or buy a firewall/router for each
user. They aren't expensive.

Do not connect machines to internet without firewalls.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

spywares and viruses? We don't have firewals, ang users are diretly
connected to the network, and can access directly to the internet using
our dsl connections.

please help!

thanks you very much...
