"Windows Live Local for Outlook Update" popup

I have Outlook 2000 SR-1. Just recently, when I start up Outlook, I get a
pop up message for "Windows Live Local for Outlook Update" prompting me to
download and install the Live Search Maps for Outlook.

When I attempt to install it I get an error telling me that the update only
works with Outlook 2002, 2003, or 2007. Fine enough. But every single time
I start Outlook, I get this popup which promptly hides "under" the "Live
Today" page, requiring me to bring up the task manager to get to it or else
Outlook 2000 remains frozen until I can dismiss this pop up.

Is there any way I can get it to stop? It's very annoying. Especially
since it doesn't work with my version of Outlook in the first place.

Did the previous version work for you and are you still using it? If not
uninstall it.
You might want to check in the Live newsgroups on how to disable this update
checker. You'd then also be in the correct newgroup for people who can
provide direct feedback to the Live team.

The Live Search Maps add-in never supported Outlook 2000.

I would check Add/Remove programs in Control Panel and remove it if it's
there.
