Winmail.dat

One of my users has a problem where she sends email to a client, and the
only attachment that they recieve is a "Winmail.dat". I have done research
online about it, and everything tells me to have it send in Rich Text
format. I've done that. I also saw that you can set the format type at the
address book. we checked that too, and everything is fine. Is there
something that I may have to do at the Server?

She is running office 2003 on a windows XP machine. We are runnung Exchange
2003 on a windows 2003 server computer.

My experience is the reverse of what you indicate.
This is a standard response I use for similar questions:

If you mean a Winmail.dat then tell the person who is sending you
these with Outlook to uncheck the box :"Always send messages in
Microsoft Exchange rich text format."

I delete all winmail.dat files and ask the Outlook sender to change
from Rich Text to Plain Text.
I opened a few and found nothing of use inside.
This will open them if there is anything of use inside.
