Word 2000 Templates & Hyperlinks

Shauna Koppang

Am working on a project where the client needs to create a
series of doucments, in order, based on templates, one
after the other, in order.

Currently they have created a series of doucments, based
on the templates and hyperlinked them together. A user
would open the first document, make the changes and click
on the hyperlink at the bottom of the page to then open
the next, and so on. But as they are documents they are
not able to accessed through the normal File, Menu, New
tabs, and thus unable to be secured from change to the
original contents et al.

They would like to be able to choose File menu, New and
create a document based on the first template, and at the
bottom of that document have a hyperlink to another
template which would then create a document based on that
themplate, and so on through the series, if that
makes sense.

Does anyone know if this can be done? Currently, if you
place a hypelink in a template (or document) to a
template, it opens the original, it does not create a new
document based on a template.

Any assistance or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Shauna
