Somehow Word 2000 disappeared from my system, probably
accidentally deleted using Norton Clean Sweep or the like,
however Word was occasionally been shut down for causing
an "illegal operation".
After reinstalling Word it would not open and the computer
freezes; pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del displays a message "System
is dangerously low in resources". I end tasks for Word and
Explorer to then reboot the computer as nothing else will
work.
All other Office products in the computer work OK
including FrontPage 2002.
After reinstalling Word I did run the "repair word"
program, but to no effect.
I also run Norton antivirus, removed some memory resident
programs, defragmented disk, etc. but no success.
Operating system is Windows 98 second edition on a Pentium
III with 120MB Ram, Laptop.
Any idea? It will be most appreciated.
Best regards.
