I recently installed SP 1 & 2 for Word 2002. After
installing, Word is unable to open any templates defined
in the Startup folder, or any of the general templates
that come with the app (ie. Fax, Memo, etc).
I've checked to make sure it is looking in the right
location (Options > File Locations) and everything is
fine there. My security is set to Medium, so I dont think
that is the problem either.
I've deleted the Normal.dot template, and the first time
after the file is deleted Word seems to be ok. However,
if I close out of Word and reopen, the next time I close
it prompts me to save changes to Normal.dot (even though
nothing has been changed).
I tried to download the Word 2002 Support template, but
(of course) Word refuses to open it...
Please advise.
