Word 2002 Merge Data Font Variation

D

DLC

Need to merge tenant name and apartment number from an Excel spreadsheet
(Column A and B) into a letter format in Word with format continuity.

Data in spreadsheet in New Times Roman / 10.

After inserting merge fields in Word, I open the data source, select
recipient, then merge to Word document which is also formated in New Times
Roman /10.

The Word document appears in New Times Roman /10 but the merge fields appear
in Courier /10!!!!

Have tried numerous options to get this to work.

Try selecting the entire main document (Ctrl + A) then select 'Clear
Formatting' and see if that changes the merge field text back to Times New
Roman.

Hi Dlc,

Press Alt+F9 to display the field codes. If you see the \* Mergeformat switch
in the Mergefield fields, delete it. Alt+F9 to hide the codes, then merge to a
new document to test.

If you're still seeing the problem, insert the \* CharFormat switch at the end
of the mergefields and test again.
