Word 2003 Open command, List of Files in Z-A order rather than A-Z

When I open a document in Word 2003 the dialog box lists the folders and
files, but they are listed in REVERSE alphabetical order. I have quite a lot
of folders and files to scroll through, and looking through them in reverse
alphabetical order is painstaking. How do I change the list so that it is in
a-z order rather than z-a? (for that matter, how did it change in the first
place?) When I browse using My Computer, they are in a-z order.

When you click on the header above the column of file names that should change
the sorting order?
