Word 2003 - Zip Attachements

Does anyone have any idea how I can stop Word 2003 sending mail attachements
as a ZIP file?

I cannot find a control for it either in Word or in ZIP.

Problem is that many of my recipients do not have the ZIP utility!

Are you sure you are not manually select Zip and Send As Attachment? You
should be able to right the file choose "Send To" > Mail Recipient. Or from
within Word File > Send To > Mail Recipient. Re-run Setup, and do a repair
of either Word or Office 2003, depending on what you have installed, and
select restore shortcuts.
