Word 2007 Add-In Not Auto-Loading

Hi all,

We recently moved to Office 2007 here at work and I'm responsible for
managing/maintaining our templates. We have a .dotm located on a
network share that all of us use for a specific type of document
called a "training module". Since it's specific to this document type,
we don't want it to always load when Word opens (ie. no need to put it
in the startup folder)... however, we'd like it to show-up as active
when you open a document of this type based on our template.
Currently, when I open the document (located on my PC), our custom
toolbar appears under Add-Ins and works properly, but when I look at
the Word Options under Add-Ins, it shows our .dotm as inactive. The
location is correct, and the name of the template appears in the
"attached" list, but the box isn't checked.

It seems like this is only a minor aesthetic issue, as it doesn't
appear to affect any functionality, but I need to be sure. We're
developing tons of documents on a go-forward basis using this
template, and finding out somewhere down the line that this is a
problem... well, will be a problem.

The network location that stores our templates is trusted, and I have
the option for "allow trusted network locations" enabled.

I've also tried opening a new document based on the template, both a
local and network version, saving it, closing, re-opening, and
still... the template is inactive (Word Options > Add-Ins) and un-
checked (Global templates and add-ins).
