Word 97 Crashes on print

Any time I try to print with word 97 it crashes and closes. New docs, old
docs, two desktops 1 server 2003 1 XP Pro all service packs and updates
applied. Symantec Endpoint protection detects no viruses on either desktop.
Any ideas what may have caused this?

PS: I just found out that they do print when using the print button on the
task bar.

It suggests some third party macro is interrupting the File | Print command.
Start Word in Safe Mode and see what happens.

From Start | Run, type in

winword /a

and press Enter. Open a document and test File | Print now. If it works,
then you need to look for a third party add-in that is interrupting the
print command.
