Word 97 Graphics

We are using the "OLD" Word 97 at work and I do proposals
using a lot of graphics along with pictures and headers
and footers, etc. When I start getting into a big file
and moving things around...word shuts down on me saying I
have performed an illegal operation. Is this because Word
97 is not capable of what I am trying to make it do? Or
is there a program problem? Please advise, asap as I
crashed 6 times yesterday doing a proposal.

Word 97 can do what you want. It is more likely that your "old" computer
doesn't have enough RAM or available HD space.

I have 16 GB of space available and 255 MB Ram, I would
think that is plenty enough. I have only two programs
open at the time, Word and Outlook, nothing else running
in the background, so I am puzzled.

Yep, that should suffice. I've noticed that docs with a lot of graphics need
to be closed and reopened more frequently than simpler documents.
