Word 97 printing error

When I try to print a file, I get an error message
(Winword, An error has occurred. To keep working...). I
removed the file that I was working on to another folder
and tried printing a file that I've printed before, but
still got the error message.

Re-booted but no change

Tried re-install of Word, with same result. Ideas?

Using version 97-SR1, as it came with my Dell box, no
patches.
Windows 98

Hi John,

If the error occurs when you print the first item to rule out is a
corrupt printer driver. Obtain an updated driver from the
manufacturer's web site and see if that resolves it.

I personally wouldn't use Word 97 without it being fully patched.
There were a *lot* of issues corrected in the patches.
