Word document attached to Outlook Express message

When I try to open a Word document attached to an OE message, the toolbar
starts flashing and the screen freezes. Only when applying End Task I can
get rid of the flashing screen.
Can anyone please help me with this annoying problem?

Norton Anti Virus? Open NAV and disable the Office Plug-in option.

........that is assuming you know who sent ou the document.

The doc itself could be a virus !!

My advice is dont download it and dont open it, just get them to send
you it again if you know them !
