I have a problem where a user is attempting to open a word document (in WD97)
over a network connection that opens read-only and says that the same user
already has the file open!
Am I correct in assuming that the file lock has not been reset when the user
last saved/closed the document and that Word still thinks the file is in use?
It is not a master document (with sub-documents) where I believe similar
issues can occur.
Has anybody experienced this problem before and can give guidance?
