Word does not always show graphics

Often when I open an MSword (2003) document graphics does not show untill i
as for a preview. After that the graphics might show, but not always. I have
the Tools->Option->View->drawing set on.

Hi, Amots.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | uncheck the "Picture
placeholders" box | Print | check the "Drawing objects" box | OK.

If the previous suggestion does not help, then try reducing the hardware
acceleration setting in Start | Control Panel | Display | Advanced. The
fastest setting is the default, but is not always the best.

Sorry correction, on re-booting after changing the acceleration setting the
user is now telling me it has worked...Thanks
