I am unable to load Word. This appears to have happened after I downloaded
critical update KB891711.exe.
I have tried re-installing (both Word alone and Office 2000 completely) but
this has not helped. When I try to load Word the first screen appears but
the whole system just freezes. I cannot even shut down safely and have to
switch the computer off manually. Sometimes I get a message that the system
is "low in resources" but this cannot be true.
Has this update affected my System Files?
