word drop down menu probs

My drop down menus are not showing up whe I click on the toolbar. (i.e I
click "file" and the outline of a dropdown menu appears, but no options)
Thanks in advance for any help.

If rebooting doesn't fix it, please visit the web site for the
manufacturer of your video adapter and download updated drivers, install
them and the video should work properly.
