word keeps crashing

I have the latest version of word and mac osx tiger. Since updating to
the newest version of tiger, word cannot open or save documents and
just crashes. All other office software works just fine. Can any one
help?

Hello,
For the beggining I would try to reapir disk permition, update office
and reapir disk permition again.

Then you might follow http://word.mvps.org/Mac/TroubleshootingIndex.html,
especially Diagnose Your Problem, I would try *Preference settings*
and/or normal template corruption. But first try to update and repair
disk permitions, this solves a lot of problems. You forgot to mention
which office do you have...

Hello,
For the beggining I would try to reapir disk permition, update office
and reapir disk permition again.

I would also try re-applying the Combo Updater from Apple, before going
to the Word Troubleshooting pages. There have been a number of reports
recently when people ran software update, and problems resulted, but
downloading the 10.4.9 combo updater directly from Apple and applying
that fixed them.
