Word open document box

I used to have a minumized box when I hit open document inside word. A few
days ago when I opened a dcoument, the box was screen size, a full 17" I
don't recall making any changes that should have made this happen. At least
not in Word. I did make some changes in Windows Explorer.

How do I get back the smaller version of the documant box?

Double-click on the title bar of the "Open" dialog box.
