Word/Publisher to print a booklet

Using MS Office XP SP-2, how can I do a mail-merge from an
Access query such that the results are printed as a
booklet? I would like two columns of addresses from the
mail-merge to be printed in landscape mode such that, when
folded into 8.5"x5.5" and stapled along the fold, the
result is a booklet that reads through the pages in
numerical order.

I think this implies two-sided printing with four
different pages on each sheet - page 1 and the last page
on one side and page 2 and the second-to-last page on the
other side.

I want to do this totally with Office tools and thus
combining Access, Word and Publisher is O.K. - if it works!

I have no problems with the mail-merge aspects, but have
been unable to get Word and/or Publisher to give me the
page ordering necessary for a booklet.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

No, not in a straight forward manner in Publisher 2002. Even doing it
manually is convoluted with hurdles, especially doing it in Bookfold.

Publisher 2003 will do this easily and well - best way to describe the ease
of doing exactly what you want to do is Publisher 2003 is a 'no brainer'
that is how simple it is and how easy it is to do.

The Merge is substantially enhanced in Publisher 2003 and highly recommend
the product.

You can also merge pictures in Publisher 2003

It is preferable to export your data from Access into CSV and merge the CSV
file with Publisher.
