Word - removing properties on the document

Is there any way in which one can hide the information
shown under Statistics and General which are shown under
a Word doc's File/Properties menu? Each time I manage
the document, I have to copy and paste it into a new doc
in order that these "properties" are not shown. Thanks

Depending on the version of Word, there are tools to remove
"Meta data" in the document.

Could you provide a link to these tools?

I searched through both links in your sig and found nothing.

Thanks.

According to the information I received:

It operates as an add-in for Office XP and Office 2003 (specifically, for
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). The add-in will only install on systems that
have either Office XP or Office 2003 installed. However, since the file
formats haven't changed in quite a while, the add-in will handle docs
created by Office 97 and Office 2000.

Thanks. I did install it but Word 2000 can't load it and I can't see a
way to run it against files outside of the application. If there is a
way, please let me know.

I appreciate your help. (in the other thread too)
