Word Save Button Turned gray

Word 2003 save button became gray (inactive), i tried to run winword
/regserv, and word launched normally. After i closed and reopened word again,
the button and 'save', 'save as' and 'print' option in FILE became gray
(inactive). Please help. thank you

It is very likely that you are in a proteced document. You need to turn off
protection under the Tools menu option. If someone else protected the
document and assigned a password, they need to turn it off for you. Look up
protection under MS Word Help.

Yes! Reset all the settings did the trick. Might be some macro problems. but
i deleted the WORD registery and restarted Word. Everything became normaly.

Hi John, Thanks for ur suggestion. Actually it happened to all documents
including new document/Blank document. But managed to solve it with reset all
the configuration in Word with editing the registry.
