WORD SAY IT IS UNINSTALLED!!

HI,

I have been using word since 2002 on my computer and have saved many files
but when i try to open word now it says 'preparing to install and then asks
for the windows xp disk' i dont have this disk anymore, is there anything i
an do?

If you have entered the error message correctly, please note it's asking for
the *Windows* disc, not *Word*.

it is asking for the profesional xp with font page disc which i have now ound
but it doesnt help. i tried to repair the programme but i asks for th disc
again even though it is already in the machine?

Where did you obtain the disc? Microsoft Office XP with Front Page is a
volume license edition only. Does the disc have "Microsoft Office XP with
Front Page" on it?

Yes and no. It is one that was widely bootlegged and it's also one that some
OEMs used for their image on new computers but only installed the necessary
components to "create" another edition such as the Standard edition.
