Word text appears in different symbols.

Hi Everyone,

I have a laptop user who, when he is in the office can send out Word docs to
clients without any issues. But when the user leaves the office and connects
to the office network from outside, and sends a Word document to a client,
the client recieves the document in various symbols or some kind of different
language.I would be gratefull if anyone has any ideas?? I have tried
un-installing Office and re-installing it, but the same occurs. I have
checked for virus's etc also. We have other laptop users who are OK??

We are using MS Office XP Standard, and it has SP3.
