Word won't run when my laptop is disconnected from its network.

I have come accross the same problem with Word 2000
running on Office 2000 under XP Home Edition. Every time
you try to start word with then network disconnected it
crashes. Plug the network back in and it works fine.
Did the local printer install solve this problem for you?
