Word wrap

J

Jeff Stanton

This is driving me nuts. I'm trying to insert a picture into a text box
that already contains text. I want the text to wrap around the picture, but
nothing I do makes it work. What am I missing?

Are you setting the wrap properties on the picture?

Outline the steps you are taking, and the problem you are having/seeing.

What version of Publisher?

I'm using Publisher 2007 with XP Pro. I have set the wrap properties for the
picture (actually I have tried various wraps). What I am trying to do is
insert a photo (with wrap properties set) into a text box that already
contains text. Perhaps I need to place the picture first, then type the
text?

I just filled a text box with a bunch of text, plopped a clip art image
into it and it wraps...then click on the pic to change the wrap.

What exactly IS happening?

Select the text box, click the dog, none. Send to the back.
Insert your picture.

I don't have a border around the text box, but I DO have one around the page
the text box is a part of. When I send that border to the back, word warap
works just fine. Thanks, Mary.

Hey, Jeff, glad it is all working out for you. Thanks for posting back, I'm sure
it will help someone else down the road .

I had the same problem that Jeff did. I have tried borders on all text
boxes (I have a text box inside a box with a border. I have tried all the
different settings, put lines around all my borders, changed the orders of
pictures and text boxes and it still does not work. I have Office Publisher
2007. I hope you can help me. Thank you.

I'm sorry - I removed one of my text boxes & it worked! Now I just have to
figure out how to get the border I want, where I want it! Something new to
figure out all the time. Thank you for your help!

I'm guessing you are trying to wrap an object. From the sound of it you must
have many objects on your page.
It's hard to know how to stack your objects without seeing them.

Can you send me the file?
