wordret.msi error

Hi tryed to update my office 2000 on the micro softsite went through the
download ok then a messeage to insert office 2000 disc which i did then told
me to look on my system file WORDRET.MSI to complete download but i cannot
find it what can i do?

Check under Add/remove programs for a separate listing for
Microsoft Word. If there the CD may be from MS Works Suite
that you'll need.

Bob, I do have a separate listing for Microsoft Word in ADD/Remove tab but I
don't have MS Work Suite, I'm using MS Office XP's disks.

There is any other way to solve this annoying issue?

Hi Daniel,

You may want to try uninstalling the separate MS Word copy,
restart the PC then from the MS Office XP CD change the
installed features to include the copy of Word from that CD.
