work week not equal to date

Hi,
y the work week is not equal to exact date?
for example: ww33.4 should equal to 11 Aug 2005.
but the date is 32.4. y?
what is the setting in order to solve it?

Hi Daniel,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

It depends on where you start counting. Project does not have a week 0 -
try putting a task starting Jan 1st, it will be in week 01, and so 11th Aug
will be in week 32. You cannot change this :(

There is a workaround. Use a custom formula in an unused text field.
I use the following formula:

"w" & Format(DateAdd("d",7-Weekday([Finish]),[Finish]),"ww" & "'yy")
By editing the formula you can add the .day if you like.

Then format your bars to show the new value. Unfortunately the timescale is
not configurable.
