Workgroups

I have a vague recollection of functionality in Project that predates Server
called Workgroups. It integrated with outlook and your task list and was a
quick and dirty way to get updates for resources. I seem to remember that
this was available on installation disks but not part of the standard. Is
this still available as a low budget option outside of using Server? If so,
can you advise me where it is available so I can direct my tech support group?
