Dennis

Hello

I want for one recourse a workdag from 10hours. I want to do it so that
i give up 1 day duration but from 8 workhours and 2 hours overtime. For
the overtime i can give up fixt cost at the resource. I cant get it don
to make one day from 10 hours. I made a new callender from 08:00 -
19:00 and link tthe calender to the resource.

Now i see at work 8hours and nothing more?? I want to see by duration 1
day, by work 8hours and by overtime 2hours. Then the costs of the
workhours and the costs of the overtime.

I have all the collumns but the dont have any information.

What do i wrong??

Thanks

Hello Dennis,

Sorry, Project will not automatically assign overtime, you must do
that yourself. If you want an 8 hour (1 day) duration task to be
worked on for a total of 10 hours (8 regular and 2 OT), you'll need to
specify that when you assign the resource.

I suggest working with the Task Form at the bottom of your screen
formatted to show Resource Work. To show the task form choose Window
Split from a Gantt chart. Once you have the Task Form visible at
the lower pane, click in the Task form, click your right mouse button
to show the shortcut menu and select Resource Work.

Create the 1 day duration task. Click in the task form and select the
resource, in the Work field enter 10, in the OVT work field enter 2
click OK.

The resource is now assigned to a one day (8 hour) duration task
accomplishing 10 hours of work. The 2 hours OT should be at the OT
rate field you set in the Resource Sheet.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
