Working with outlook in offline mode

I am using outlook 2000 to compose emails while i am
offline at home. When i connect the laptop to the network
the emails move to the sent items, however the intended
reciepents does not recieve the emails. Can anyone help

I presume you're using Exchange - what do you have in tools | services? Are
the items showing up in your outbox when you hit send while offline?
