"Would you like to save the changes..."

Some of my Word docs prompt me to "save the changes you
made" before closing the document. The problem is, I
haven't made any changes to the document and even if I
tell it to save the changes it still asks every time I try
to close it. I checked Tools>Options>Save (tab), but the
normal save prompt is not checked. Does anyone know how
to tell Word to stop prompting me to save changes that
haven't been made?

Andy,

In certain files this can be cause by embeded SmartTabs. Open one of the
offending documents and uncheck Tools>Options>Save>Embed SmartTabs.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I tried that and it
did the trick. Those 'smart' features annoy me anyway.
Thanks a million!
