Wrong update of assignments in Project 2002 using timesheet in Project Server 2002

Hello;

I am using the Duration 10 field to track a kind of ETC. I have published
this field to the timesheet (Tools - Customize - Published fields) and
selected the Assignmnent option as Custom field type and checked the Let
resource change field checkbox.

I published to Project Server 2002 and enter a value in the Duration 10
field in my timesheet. When updating this information back to MS Project
2002 the information entered in my timesheet updates the Duration 10 field
on TASK level, not on the assignment level as expected. I have tried to
publish several custom fields (Number, Cost and Text) and they all behave
wrong when updating back to MS Project 2002.

It this a known issue. ?

Is there a Fix or a work around ?
