Hi,
I¹m using Excel for Mac Office 2008 (Version 12.1.3 build 08930; last
installed Update: 12.1.4) and I can¹t open Excel-Files from my
PC-counterparts, who are on Excel 2007.
They send me .xlsm and a .xlsx Files and each time I try to open it, I get
an error message saying: File can¹ be opened. Either it is corrupt or the
initial file format was changes.

Does anyone know why the two wont work together?

Thanks for help,
Patrick

Well, they certainly are supposed to work together. How do the PC users send
the file? Is it compressed? Have you tried File-Open from Excel rather than
double click? Can the PC users send the file to themselves and open the
received copy?
