I want to do special reporting that lends itself to XML - Is there a schema
for project out there?
I'm also curious, why doesn't MS allow saving the preformatted reports to a
document (IE. MS Word)?

It's not "out-there". It's on your own PC. See the file projxlm.htm
(use search to find it in the Project install folders).

Why Microsoft doesn't do this? Well, I don't know. My guess is that
these reports aren't documents that need to be or should be edited.
Save them into Adobe PDF or Microsoft Office Image Writer format if you
want an electronic version of these reports.
