I'm not sure but is Yahoo.CA the same as Yahoo.COM where you need a paid
account to use POP3 downloading

No it is not. It is Yahoo Canada and different rules apply I believe. Laura should check their FAQ for Canada. Since I do not know too much on the above I cannot advise her anything else

Here's a thought if you don't mind spending a little money BUT on the
good side, they have a free trial period. To make my life easier for
anti spam and other things, I started using a program called ChoiceMail
which, basically, acts sort of like a server. The thing I really like
about it is, it makes bringing in Yahoo, Hotmail, MSN mail and just
about any web based mail I know of, very easy as it has a "wizard" which
does it for you based on the address you give it. Anyway, rather than
go into a lot of detail, let me just give you the url and you can go to
their site and take a look. Unless things have changed, they have a
thirty day fully functional trial version. One of my main reasons for
liking it, by the way, is it doesn't force you to have separate inboxes
for the various web based e-mails. It all comes into your regular inbox
which, for those of us who wish to sync to pda's makes life much easier.
Anyway, here's the url if you want to check it out:

Good luck,
Tim
