Yes/No column in Datasheet view

I have a Yes/No column in a datasheet view. When I click in the column Yes
changes to -1 and No changes to 0. Why does it do this and can I prevent it?
I'd like to be able to choose Yes or No from a drop-down, is this possible?
Thanks.

A Yes/No data type is known as a Boolean data type. The actual values are 0
for No and -1 for Yes. Yes and No have no meaning, however, True and False
are Access constants that return the corresponding values.
In the properties dialog for the control, select the format tab and use the
dropdown to select Yes/No. Those values will then show, but the underlying
field will still be 0 and -1.

I already have Format set to Yes/No, I tried changing it to True/False but it
makes no difference. As soon as I click in the column the value changes to -1
or 0. That is not very user-friendly. In a datasheet, is there no way to just
show the logical values rather than the underlying value?
