2003 Outlook files not .PST????

Where dos outlook 2003 running on XPPro keep its mail
files. I cannot find a .PST file.

I have a client with a corrupted outlook and I need to
rescue his emails before I do a rebuild. I even looked
for a .DBX file but only found old Outlook Express ones

Should be under \documents and settings\<userid>\application
data\microsoft\outlook or \documents and settings\<userid>\local
settings\application data\microsoft\outlook.

fwiw, application data and local settings are hidden folders. the windows
explorer search routine will not traverse hidden/system directories unless
you specifically configure it to do so.
